R2-D2 amigurumi

my younger daughter (M) is a huge Star Wars fan. so i decided to make her one of her favorite characters, Artoo. i bought the pattern from Lucy Ravenscar on Etsy (via Ravelry). i worked on it at night after she'd gone to bed so it would a surprise for her. i left it for her at her place at the table this morning (March 25th), and i'm very surprised her delighted squeal didn't wake me up.

Drama Llama

apparently, there's drama everywhere these days... even on forums about yarn! so i was chatting with one of the moderators there and i happened to mention something about crocheting one. since that seemed to be something cute and funny that i'd do, i found a pattern. now, i think it's cute, but does it look like a llama? and would it cause drama? LOL!

update: the Drama Llama now makes his home with one of M's friends, since he was a birthday present for her!

Hello Cthulhu, take two

my friend Starrygirl (on Unifaction) really liked my original Hello Cthulhu, and commissioned me to make one for each of her sisters!

Hello Cthulhu amigurumi

this little (??, he's actually kinda taller than i expected!) guy took four days to make. it's my first amigurumi, and i realise you can see the stuffing through the stitches. this was pretty much a "rough copy" so i could get a feel for what i was doing. as it turns out, my younger daughter M totally loves it. click on the pictures for a slightly larger version.

the pattern comes from lemmingzone1 on squidoo.com

Shoulder Wrap

i didn't pay attention to when i started this, only that it took maybe 7-10 days, (i guess?) and i finished it last night. it's a very soft yarn, and i really like the way this turned out. click on the pictures for a slightly larger version.

the pattern is my own design.

Embellishments: Flowers

not really sure what to call these. they're mostly flowers, but you could put them on things: a bag, a scarf, a hairclip, a hat.... i apologise that the lighting isn't the best. you can also click on them for a slightly bigger version too.
